Set Dancing at Kilcummin NS:

Thanks to Mary and John Moriarty for leading a fantastic term of dancing in Kilcummin NS. We are grateful for all you have done with the pupils and staff yet again this year. A special word of thanks for your central role in our annual Seachtain na Gaeilge whole school céilí. Pupils and staff were treated to some live traditional music and dancing by staff and pupils as part of our Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations. On Lá Glas, the junior classes enjoyed their own parade throughout the school and they sang some of our Irish songs, including Lá ‘le Pádraig & Leipreachán and we enjoyed the Hócaí Pócaí dance as well as some fabulous sets and dances like the Siege of Ennis, the Brush Dance and Shoe the Donkey. Thank you Mary & John! Míle buíochas! A special word of thanks to our new Parents’ Association for funding this term of set dancing.
