We are currently holding our Seachtain na Gaeilge events at Kilcummin NS. We enjoyed a music session followed by a céilí on Thursday, 14th March. Our whole school céilí is a wonderful tradition at Kilcummin NS, as part of our Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations. A special word of thanks to our dancing teachers Mary and John Moriarty for organising our céilí. We are looking forward to next year’s céilí already!
Thanks also to Mr. Michael Kelliher, who organised a traditional Irish music session with our talented pupils. Thanks to our musicians Colm Fleming, Conor Doyle, David O’ Mahony, George Lenihan, Leah Brosnan and Michael O’ Connor for providing entertainment.
There was a great buzz and excitement as the children participated in our Seachtain na Gaeilge festivities. Our celebrations included a marvellous production of the Labhraí Loingseach drama, presented by our senior pupils Aodhán O’ Halloran, Dan Barry, Ella Murphy, Ella Kate Pigott, Emily O’ Connor and Leagh O’ Connor. A special word of thanks to Aileen Moriarty & Geraldine Pigott for sharing their wonderful script.
We shared our very own Scríobh Leabhar books throughout the school during Seachtain na Gaeilge. Comhghairdeas le gach duine! Congratulations to all on your beautiful books. These have been sent to the Education Centre for the annual Foras na Gaeilge competition. Lá Glas, a parade and many more exciting activities filled our Seachtain na Gaeilge.
