Huge congratulations to Mr Mannix's fourth and fifth class who recently took part in the Explore Your Local Heritage Competition organised by Kerry Archeological & Historical Society and partners. This is the second year that the school has entered the competition and after finishing second in last years competition this year Mr Mannix's class went one better and came home with first prize. They recently travelled to Kerry County Museum to receive their award from Archeological & Historical society President Mr. Jimmy Deenihan. The title of the project was "The development of education in Kilcummin" and Mr Mannix would like to sincerely thank all those who helped the class during their research including both present and former staff and members of the school community.
