The children in Kilcummin NS have been ticking all the STEAM boxes as they are currently participating in the Teacher and Artist Programme (TAP) and using Lego to build STEM skills. Glass artist Julie Ann Foley is currently working with Ms. O’ Connor’s class as they are creating a bespoke piece of art using glass. Potter and artist Delia O’ Donoghue is also completing a residency with Ms. Sheehan’s class as they are exploring clay as an art medium and creating their own clay pieces.
As we are addressing all aspects of our STEAM curriculum, we are increasing playfulness in our learning. We are currently using Lego sets to create pieces and play. Well done to the pupils of Kilcummin NS- we hope you are all having lots of fun!
