First and Second Class School Tour

First and Second class went on their School Tour to Muckross House and Muckross Traditional Farms. First, we had a History lesson on Muckross House. We enjoyed a tour of the elegantly furnished rooms.

Then, onto the Farms. Here they visited three working farms each complete with animals, poultry and traditional farm machinery. They witnessed the Bean an Tí making bread in the traditional manner on the open fire. They saw the making of the butter. The children loved the various animals around the farm and they enjoyed their picnic. They had a great time!
